Where in the 1600s, LA INQUISITION took place, a building that remains in the walled town as a symbol of the unjust oppression that ravaged the women of this city. Hundreds of years later, the fight to tear down the lingering oppression continues.

fear to impregnate society and led them to gruesome deaths.

experience, you can connect with the true history of the women
of Cartagena that has been hidden away.
Typical tours depict the women of La Inquisition as solely
victims, but our goal is that you walk away empowered and
proud of the women who fought against La Inquisition and
who continue to spread their message through the Caribbean
breeze that blows throughout the town – not then, and not now,
is the psychological and social mistreatment of women
acceptable, so when are we going to stop allowing it?
